Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure across AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• Own the architecture and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, automated deployment workflows, and configuration management.
• Lead incident response and post-mortem activities; improve system reliability and minimize mean time to recovery (MTTR).
• Establish and monitor SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs for critical systems and services.
• Develop robust observability and alerting frameworks using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK stack, etc.
• Champion infrastructure automation and self-healing systems, reducing toil through scripts, bots, and automation pipelines.
• Drive DevOps best practices across development teams to standardize deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve system design for resiliency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a team of junior SREs/DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support.
• Stay up to date with the latest in cloud architecture, security practices, and infrastructure technologies.
  

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles, including 2+ years in a lead/mentorship capacity.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and managing container orchestration platforms at scale.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Deep understanding of Linux system internals, networking, and security concepts.
• Strong scripting/coding skills (Bash, Python, Go, or similar).
• Experience implementing monitoring/logging stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.
• Proven ability to lead incident response and conduct detailed root cause analysis.
• Exposure to agile software development methodologies and CI/CD toolchains (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a bias toward action and ownership.
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with service mesh, secrets management tools (Vault), or zero-trust architecture.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, cost optimization, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO, etc.).
