Lead Product Designer

Job Title: Lead Product Designer Employment Type: Full-time, 3-Month Contract About The Role We are hiring a Lead Product Designer to own the overall design direction and strategy of a high-growth EdTech platform. This is a full-time, high-ownership contract role for a minimum of 3 months. You’ll work closely with leadership, product, and engineering to elevate user experience across the platform. The ideal candidate is a design leader who can drive strategy, mentor others, and execute excellent UX/UI at scale — while keeping the end user’s needs front and center. Responsibilities Define and lead the design vision, strategy, and systems across the product Translate complex problems into elegant, user-centered solutions Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on business goals Oversee and guide the full design lifecycle — from research and ideation to execution and iteration Mentor and support junior and mid-level designers Advocate for UX best practices, accessibility, and design excellence across the organization Requirements 6–8 years of experience in product design, including 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship role A strong portfolio that showcases user-centric product design for B2C platforms Deep expertise in Figma and working knowledge of design systems and component libraries Ability to set strategic design direction and balance user needs with business goals Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills Exceptional attention to visual detail, UX consistency, and interaction quality Preferred Skills Experience in EdTech or building tools for learning and engagement Confident conducting and applying user research and data insights Working knowledge of accessible and responsive design best practices Systems thinker with strong organizational and documentation skills What We Offer A chance to lead product design for a mission-driven EdTech company Strategic ownership and influence over core user experiences Collaborative, high-performing team with cross-functional alignment Potential for contract renewal or long-term consulting opportunities Skills: visual design,interaction design,figma,mentorship,design direction,ux/ui design,design systems,edtech,stakeholder management,collaboration,user research,product design Show more Show less
