Role Overview

We're looking for a

Lead Backend Engineer

with strong technical expertise in

Node.js

,

TypeScript

, and

AWS

to design, build, and lead development efforts for scalable web applications. The role involves hands-on coding, mentoring team members, and collaborating across teams to ensure successful project delivery.💼

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Create RESTful APIs or GraphQL-based solutions ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Drive architectural decisions with a deep understanding of layered architecture, encryption, serialization, and cloud-native best practices.
  • Own the delivery of features from concept to deployment with strong attention to performance, security, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX, product owners, and QA to align on deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce clean code principles.
  • Guide junior developers and foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
  • Manage releases and CI/CD processes using AWS and related tools.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimations, and project planning.

Must-Have Skills

  • 6+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
  • Strong grasp of design patterns, code optimization, and secure coding practices
  • Experience leading development teams or mentoring engineers
  • Proficient in debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Knowledge of closure, serialization, and system design
  • Exposure to microservices architecture
  • Experience working with DevOps or CI/CD tools in AWS environment
