About the Role:

Lead Engineer Backend (Node.js)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a backend team of 810+ engineers
• Define backend architecture using Node.js, Express/NestJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and microservices
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps for seamless delivery
• Oversee API design (REST/GraphQL), system performance, and scalability
• Drive hiring, performance reviews, and team development

Requirements:

• Master's degree in computer science or related field
• 1015 years in backend development with 5+ years in engineering leadership
• Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, system design, and distributed architecture
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud-native microservices
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kafka, WebSockets, or AI-related infrastructure (vector databases)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frontend alignment (React/React Native)
