Lead Backend Engineer

As a Lead Engineer Backend (Node.js) at Linnk Group, your role will involve leading high-performing engineering teams in Cochin, India to build scalable, secure SaaS and AI-driven platforms. You will be responsible for defining backend architecture using Node.js, Express/NestJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and microservices. Additionally, you will collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams for seamless delivery, oversee API design (REST/GraphQL), system performance, and scalability, and drive hiring, performance reviews, and team development. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a backend team of 810+ engineers - Define backend architecture using Node.js, Express/NestJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and microservices - Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps for seamless delivery - Oversee API design (REST/GraphQL), system performance, and scalability - Drive hiring, performance reviews, and team development Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in computer science or related field - 1015 years in backend development with 5+ years in engineering leadership - Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, system design, and distributed architecture - Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud-native microservices - Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Nice to Have: - Experience with Kafka, WebSockets, or AI-related infrastructure (vector databases) - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frontend alignment (React/React Native) If you join Linnk Group, you will have the opportunity to lead engineering for their flagship SaaS products, benefit from competitive compensation, and experience career growth opportunities.
