Lead Airside- Operations

Purpose/Objective

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring airside operations, infrastructure, facilities, manpower, manuals, processes and procedures are all in compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and statutory requirements at the airport.

Key Responsibilities of Role

1. Ensure that an effective compliance management system is planned, designed, implemented, maintained and continually improved to ensure compliance to all applicable Concession Agreements, ICAO SARPS, DGCA Civil Aviation Requirements, National regulatory requirements and standards, legislations and Company policies, objectives, procedures, working instructions, etc. 2. Preparation of Aerodrome License application documents, review and finalize application documents before submission to DGCA. 3. Carry out safety assessment for the new Airside Projects as part of change management as per DGCA Aerodrome Advisory Circular ADAC 01 of 2012. 4. Onboarding of Vendor for OLS survey and ensure Survey is carried out periodically as per the DGCA/AAI Requirements. 5. Verification of Aeronautical data and Charts to ensure data/information meets the data quality and integrity requirements 6. Preparation of AIP Supplements for promulgation of Aerodrome data / Aerodrome Obstacle data and for major projects. 7. Preparation of Wildlife Hazard Management Plan and ensure wildlife incidents are within the Safety Performance Target. 8. Monitor and timely report the compliances to all concerned officials / authorities with respect to the applicable requirements 9. Maintain good liaison with all stakeholders, Airlines, GHAs and other agencies on operational aspects. 10. Ensure 100% compliance of SOPs and work instructions as per the regulatory requirement in respect of Aviation Services. 11. Carry out periodic / random audits to identify any non-compliances so that appropriate measures are taken in time to ensure compliance to laid down standards and requirements. 12. Supporting Airside functions to understand the requirements and assist in the implementation of new aviation safety regulations. 13. Making recommendations for management review and tracking the status of rectification actions. 14. Monitor the performance of the operations to ensure delivery of the Business Plan and KPI’s. 15. Developing high quality compliance reports and performance metrics for management review assess the performance and compliance with industry and airport standards. 16. Assist in the development of systems and processes to continuously enhance aviation safety and compliance. 17. Overseeing the ADP/AVP section and WHM Team

Technical Competencies

Brief knowledge on Airport Regulatory framework – ICAO standard & recommendation practices (SARPS), Annex 14 (Vol-1), Annex 04, Annex 15, Annex 13, Annex 19 etc.,Preparation of Aerodrome Manual.,Skills in risk assessment/management/process,Sound knowledge on DGCA Civil Aviation Requirements, Advisory Circulars i.e., AD ACs & ASCs

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification: - Graduation - Preference to full time MBA graduate - ICAO approved Annex 14 training - Safety Management Systems Certificate Experience: 08+ Years of overall experience in Airside Operations.
