Litigation & Legal Operations Executive

About the Role

Rentkar is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Operations Executive to handle all legal, documentation, and litigation-related functions of the company. This role involves managing legal compliance, customer escalations, fraud cases, theft/loss incidents, and coordination with lawyers and authorities. The candidate will act as the company’s representative in external legal matters and ensure smooth end-to-end legal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain and organize all company legal documents, agreements, contracts, and compliance papers.

  • Draft, review, and update rental agreements, NDAs, and service contracts.
  • Ensure legal documentation aligns with company policies and current laws.
  • Customer Escalations & Dispute Handling

  • Manage escalated customer cases involving frauds, non-payments, or thefts.

  • File complaints or coordinate with police or authorities where necessary.
  • Represent Rentkar in recovery, theft, or fraud-related cases.
  • Litigation & Lawyer Management

  • Hire and manage external lawyers on a case-by-case or payroll basis.

  • Coordinate with legal counsel for notices, filings, and litigation tracking.
  • Maintain case progress reports and ensure timely follow-ups on all active matters.
  • Company Representation & Recovery

  • Act as the company representative for collections and dispute resolution.

  • Liaise with customers, vendors, and authorities for settlement or enforcement of contracts.
  • Process Development & Internal Coordination

  • Create systems to streamline legal escalations and case tracking across branches.

  • Work with operations and finance teams to ensure documentation compliance in daily operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field (LLB preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in litigation management, recovery, or legal operations.
  • Strong understanding of consumer protection, contract law, and company compliance.
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable liaising with police, lawyers, and government portals for online filings.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with rental or asset-based businesses.
  • Exposure to startup environments.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools and CRM systems.
