Job Purpose

To handle the organization’s legal matters, coordinate with external legal professionals, represent the company before lower courts, and ensure effective legal support and compliance.

Key Responsibilities :-

Legal Coordination & Case Management

• Coordinate with legal vendors, panel advocates, and senior counsels
• Follow up on case progress, hearings, and legal opinions
• Prepare and maintain records of all ongoing and closed cases

Court Appearance & Representation

• Appear and present cases before

  lower courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial authorities

• Assist senior advocates during hearings and case preparation
• Handle filing, listing, and procedural compliances in courts

Drafting & Documentation

• Draft, review, and vet legal documents such as agreements, notices, replies, affidavits, petitions, and pleadings
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of legal documentation

Legal Compliance & Advisory

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations relevant to the organization
• Provide legal inputs to management on risk and preventive legal measures
• Track changes in laws and inform management of implications

Liaison & Follow-up

• Liaise with courts, advocates’ offices, government departments, and legal vendors
• Coordinate for documentation, hearings, and statutory filings

Qualifications & Experience

• LLB

  from a recognized university; enrolment with State Bar Council preferred

• 2–5 years

  of relevant experience in litigation and court practice
• Experience in handling lower court matters independently

Skills Required

• Strong legal drafting and oral advocacy skills
• Practical knowledge of court procedures and filings
• Good coordination, follow-up, and communication skills

Willingness to travel locally within Kolkata for court and official work
