Job Description

Job Responsibilities – Lab Technician (Labridge) Sample Handling & Processing Receive, label, and register biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) accurately. Ensure proper storage and preservation of samples before and after testing. Maintain chain-of-custody and prevent cross-contamination. Testing & Analysis Conduct routine and specialized diagnostic tests as per standard operating procedures (SOPs). Operate laboratory equipment and analyzers efficiently. Verify, validate, and record test results with accuracy. Quality & Compliance Follow NABL, ISO, and other regulatory guidelines for lab operations. Perform daily calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab equipment. Ensure quality control by running control samples and documenting deviations. Reporting & Documentation Enter results into the laboratory information system (LIS) in a timely manner. Prepare test reports and forward them to the concerned department/client. Maintain accurate logs of samples, reagents, and consumables. Safety & Hygiene Follow biosafety protocols, PPE usage, and infection control practices. Dispose of biomedical waste as per government and company norms. Report any incidents, hazards, or equipment malfunctions immediately. Coordination & Support Assist doctors, pathologists, and other medical staff with test insights. Coordinate with logistics for timely receipt and dispatch of samples. Provide technical support during audits and inspections. Continuous Learning Stay updated on new diagnostic technologies and lab methods. Participate in training sessions, skill upgradation, and quality improvement programs.
