(Chemistry) is required or a related field is preferred.CTC: 2, 16,000 to 2, 40,000 (PA) Location: Building 20, Sec-37, Pace City -1, Gurgaon Haryana-1220217Experience: 1-2 years of experience laboratory or manufacturing setting is preferred, especially in quality control or testing roles. Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing procedures specific to manufacturing processes (e.g., material testing, product testing).Key skills: Familiarity with laboratory instruments and equipment (e.g., pH meters, spectrometers, chromatographs, etc.).Ability to perform accurate calculations and understand chemical compositions. Proficiency in using laboratory software or spreadsheets for data entry and analysis. SAP and SAP related work/issues. Proficiency in computer.Job Overview:The Lab Assistant is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the laboratory, performing tests, maintaining lab equipment, preparing samples, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role is critical for providing accurate testing data and supporting various departments in the manufacturing process, from production to quality assurance.Key Responsibilities:Sample Preparation and Testing:Prepare raw materials, in-process products, and finished products for testing.Conduct routine and specialized tests to ensure that products meet quality standards, including physical, chemical, and microbiological tests.Assist in the analysis of sample data and record test results accurately.Operate laboratory instruments and equipment (e.g., microscopes, spectrometers, pH meters, etc.) under the supervision of senior lab staff.Lab Equipment Maintenance:Regularly clean and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.Ensure that all lab equipment is in proper working order and notify the supervisor of any issues or repairs needed.Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and chemicals, ensuring that they are properly stored and labelled.Documentation and Reporting:Record test results and maintain detailed logs of all laboratory activities, experiments, and sample analyses.Assist in compiling data for reports that support regulatory compliance, internal audits, or quality assurance.Assist in preparing and submitting reports for internal or external reviews as required.Compliance and Safety:Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines within the laboratory.Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.Follow good laboratory practices (GLP) and maintain cleanliness and organization in the lab at all times.Assist in preparing for audits or inspections by regulatory agencies.Collaboration:Work closely with production teams, quality control, and R&D to ensure seamless integration of lab results with manufacturing processes.Provide support during product development or process improvement projects by carrying out relevant testing and analysis.Communicate test results and observations effectively to lab supervisors or other departments.Inventory Management:Assist in maintaining an inventory of chemicals, reagents, and other supplies.Track expiration dates and assist in ordering new materials or consumables as needed.Ensure proper storage and labelling of all materials in compliance with safety standards.Research and Development Support:Assist in R&D activities by providing data, conducting trials, and analysing results for new products or improvements to existing products.Document and report findings from experimental procedures or testing done for research purposes.
