Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with First Class.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in academic or research laboratories.

Required / Desirable Skills:

1. Ability to independently handle undergraduate and postgraduate Civil Engineering laboratories.
2. Hands-on experience with standard laboratory testing methods (Materials Testing, Geotechnical, Concrete, Transportation, Environmental labs).
3. Familiarity with structural analysis and BIM tools (STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) is desirable.
4. Good technical documentation skills for preparing manuals, standard operating procedures, and tutorial notes.
5. Strong communication, coordination, and multitasking abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Management:

• Prepare laboratory setups, equipment, and materials required for UG and PG experiments.
• Assist in conducting and demonstrating laboratory experiments across Civil Engineering domains.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of lab sessions by following standard operating procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, perform routine calibration, and report faults for timely servicing.

Academic & Student Support:

• Support faculty and students in using structural analysis and BIM tools for:
• Laboratory experiments
• Final year and capstone projects
• Research activities and PhD work
• Guide students during lab sessions, ensuring proper use of instruments, tools, and software.
• Assist in the supervision of project-based learning activities and department workshops.

Documentation & Technical Support:

• Prepare laboratory manuals, user guidelines, and software tutorials as required.
• Maintain records of lab usage, inventory, consumables, and safety logs.
• Support faculty in setting up new experiments, upgrading lab infrastructure, and implementing digital tools.
