Lab Manager

• Supervise day-to-day laboratory operations across all sections (Microbiology, Histopathology, Biochemistry, Hematology, Serology, etc.).
• Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely test results by monitoring workflow and quality.
• Oversee the preparation, processing, and analysis of clinical samples in all specialties.
• Implement and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) programs as per NABL/NABH guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, ethical, and regulatory requirements in all laboratory practices.
• Train, mentor, and guide laboratory technicians and junior staff to maintain high professional standards.
• Coordinate with pathologists, clinicians, and other departments to support patient care.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, calibration, and validation of all laboratory equipment.
• Manage procurement, inventory, and usage of laboratory reagents, consumables, and supplies.
• Prepare, review, and approve SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for laboratory practices.
• Conduct regular audits, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure continuous process improvement.
• Support R&D, validation, and implementation of new laboratory tests and technologies.
• Ensure strict adherence to biosafety, infection control, and patient data confidentiality protocols.
• Prepare periodic reports and MIS for management review.

Qualifications & Requirements

• M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Life Sciences (Ph.D. preferred).
• 8–12 years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory / hospital lab, with strong exposure to microbiology, histopathology, and biochemistry.
• Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role in a NABL/NABH accredited laboratory preferred.
• Excellent technical knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality management systems.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in laboratory software (LIS) and MS Office applications.
