Job Description

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing key customer accounts, maintaining long term relationships, managing the existing portfolio, and driving growth within existing customer accounts. You will be the single point of contact for the customer and will handle end-to-end customer program management. This includes converting enquiries to cost proposals & contracts, managing order-fulfilment till dispatch, and establishing regular communication with the customer from timeline, cost, HSE, quality, and delivery schedule perspective. Your strategic responsibilities will involve developing comprehensive business plans for each key account, creating customer relationship management strategies, and leading the customer account planning cycle to ensure customers" needs and expectations are met. You will also contribute to building Market Intelligence based on interactions with customers, staying updated on the latest market developments, and attending industry meets to interact with external agencies. On the operational and financial side, you will implement successful customer development and management plans, manage all business discussions and relationships with existing customers, conduct internal and external analysis on customers" businesses, and maintain a database of clients" business, product portfolio, and requirements. You will also be responsible for administering meetings between client decision-makers and the company's practice leaders, participating in customer visits, and collaborating with internal departments like Manufacturing Strategy, Production, Operations, HSEQ, and Commercial. In terms of people management, you will drive cross-functional interactions between various departments, collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction, and work closely with other Key Account Managers to understand the requirements of other customers. To qualify for this role, you should have a Master of Business Management (MBA) from a Tier 1 institution (e.g. IIMs/ISB/XLRI/FMS) and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably chemical). You should also have 10-12 years of experience in end-to-end program management and managing customer accounts.,
