Job Description

Location: Bangalore, India

Experience: 2–3 years in Sales or Business Development, preferably in environmental or waste management sectors.

Salary: 4.20 LPA to 4.80 LPA

Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Sales Engineer to support our business development efforts in the sustainability and renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will assist senior sales engineers in client engagement, lead generation, and project coordination, while gaining in depth knowledge of biogas and organic waste conversion technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about green technologies and industrial sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Assist senior sales engineers in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities through digital outreach, industry networking, and site visits.
  • Prepare client proposals, quotations, and presentations tailored to technical requirements.
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline to support monthly and quarterly targets.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and discussions to explain products and solutions effectively.
  • Maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers, consultants, and procurement officials.
  • Ensure consistent follow-up and timely resolution of client queries.

Technical Coordination & Project Support

  • Conduct preliminary site surveys and collect technical data for feasibility studies.
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to develop practical and cost-effective solutions.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, recommendations, and documentation for projects.
  • Support smooth handover from sales to project execution.

Product Knowledge & Industry Awareness

  • Develop deep knowledge of biogas plants, organic waste converters, and related sustainable technologies.
  • Stay updated on environmental policies, government schemes, and industry trends.
  • Participate in training, site demonstrations, and vendor interactions to enhance technical understanding.

Documentation & CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions in CRM.
  • Prepare regular sales activity reports for management review.
  • Support tender documentation and proposal submissions.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with operations, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure project readiness.
  • Contribute to improving sales processes and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental), Environmental Science, or Sales & Marketing.
  • 2–3 years of experience in industrial sales, business development, or project sales, preferably in sustainability, renewable energy, or waste management sectors.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn about environmental technologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and proactive in achieving targets.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
