IT SYSTEMS ANALYST II

Title:  IT Systems Analyst II

Level: P3-II
Quick role description: This person will be a critical member of Lumen’s software asset management (SAM) team, focusing on support of software licensing for desktop and personal productivity tools.  The person will also support Lumen’s Lead SAMs in the proactive assessment of Lumen’s software licensing compliance and the execution of supplier-initiative license audits.

JD: Skills required:

       Software asset manager (SAM)

       Foundational knowledge of IT software licensing and compliance.

       Understanding of a variety of personal productivity and desktop software products, including Microsoft, Adobe, Quest, and other suppliers.

       Understanding of software licensing controls for desktop products.

       Preferred: knowledge of these SAM tools:  Flexera Net Management Suite (FNMS), Windows / Global Policies, SCCM, AppBroker, CyberArk Endpoint Management.

       Understanding of SAP and Ariba purchase requisition processes.

       Experience participating in software publisher license audits and mitigation of supplier claims during audits. 

       Proven experience mitigating software licensing risks with ability to partner with application/operations teams to address quickly address compliance gaps and resolve issues, so that Lumen remains within compliance.

       Experience providing contractually required software license compliance reports, demonstrating compliance with contractual obligations.

       Experience negotiating software licensing matters and developing negotiation strategy with industry leaders in software publishing. 

       Clear communicator; ability to engage with levels across an IT organization, from system admin/engineer to executive.
