Job Description An IT & System Administrator plays a crucial role in the seamless operation of an organization's IT infrastructure. This professional is responsible for maintaining and managing the company's network, hardware, software, and other related systems. IT & System Administrators ensure that all systems are functioning optimally, and they troubleshoot any issues that arise. They work closely with other IT staff and departments to establish and maintain efficient systems tailored to business needs. The position requires a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills to preemptively address potential disruptions to system functionality. Responsibilities Monitor and manage a company's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems as needed. Conduct regular backups and restore data in case of hardware/software failure. Implement and manage security measures to protect company data and systems. Analyze and identify system requirements to ensure business continuity. Troubleshoot complex network and system issues with effective solutions. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for technical support services. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and processes. Ensure timely updates and patches are applied to all software and systems. Manage user accounts and access controls, ensuring security compliance. Provide technical support and guidance to team members and employees. Plan disaster recovery strategies and conduct regular system audits. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as an IT & System Administrator or similar role. Strong knowledge of networks (LAN, WAN) and computer systems architecture. Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS). Hands-on experience with network security and data integrity principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Effective communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
