IT & System Administrator

As an In-house IT & System Administrator at Yakkaservices, your role will involve overseeing and managing the internal IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for various tasks including server administration, IT asset management, domain/email setup, networking, and vendor coordination. Your contribution will be crucial in maintaining the company's technological backbone for uninterrupted business operations. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Server and System Administration:** - Install, configure, monitor, and maintain servers (Windows/Linux based) - Manage user accounts, roles, and security settings on company servers - Ensure data backup and disaster recovery systems are in place and functional - Perform periodic system health checks and updates to ensure uptime - **Domain and Outlook Email Management:** - Manage company domain (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.) - Set up and configure email accounts on Microsoft Outlook - Handle email-related troubleshooting, backups, and storage management - Ensure email communication policies are adhered to and systems are secure - **Network and Firewall Management:** - Manage LAN/WAN, switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls - Ensure strong network security and troubleshoot connectivity issues - Configure and maintain firewall rules and internet usage policies - Monitor bandwidth utilization and optimize network performance - **IT Asset Management:** - Maintain inventory of all IT assets including laptops, desktops, printers, and accessories - Ensure timely procurement, tagging, and tracking of IT hardware - Handle the issuance and return of company assets to employees - Conduct periodic audits to verify asset allocation and usage - **Hardware and End-user Support:** - Provide timely technical support to employees for hardware and software issues - Perform hardware repairs and coordinate with vendors for replacements/servicing - Install and upgrade necessary software tools and antivirus protection - Train users on basic IT hygiene, best practices, and usage - **Utility and Bill Management:** - Oversee postpaid corporate mobile connections - manage plans, billing cycles, and support - Coordinate with service providers for fault resolution and new connections - **Documentation and Compliance:** - Maintain proper documentation of all configurations, credentials, and IT processes - Ensure data security, backups, and confidentiality policies are followed - Coordinate with management for IT budgeting, planning, and upgrades - Implement and enforce internal IT policies in compliance with industry standards **Qualification Required:** - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in IT/System Administration - Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and Outlook setup - Experience in managing firewalls, networking devices, and basic cabling - Familiarity with IT asset management tools and endpoint security - Certification in MCSA, CCNA, or similar is highly desirable - Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively In addition to the responsibilities and qualifications mentioned, you will have the opportunity to be part of a fast-growing IT infrastructure company at Yakkaservices.
