As a Penetration Tester, you will conduct assessments of networks, applications, and
infrastructure to identify potential vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. You’ll
simulate cyberattacks, report findings, and work closely with security engineers and
developers to remediate risks and reinforce defenses.
· Perform manual and automated penetration testing on web applications, APIs,
infrastructure, and cloud environments.
· Identify and exploit common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10, misconfigurations,
privilege escalations).
· Use tools like Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nmap, and SQLmap for assessments.
· Create detailed vulnerability reports and work with engineering teams to prioritize and
resolve issues.
· Conduct source code reviews and implement Static Application Security Testing (SAST)
practices.
· Participate in threat modeling and security audits as part of the secure development
lifecycle.
· Stay current on emerging threats, exploits, and penetration testing methodologies.
· Deep understanding of the OWASP Top 10, common attack vectors, and exploit techniques
· Hands-on experience with Burp Suite, Kali Linux, and manual exploitation tools
· Knowledge of SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), SSRF, and CSRF attacks
· Familiarity with SAST tools and techniques for secure coding reviews
· Strong documentation and communication skills for reporting vulnerabilities
· Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field
· 3–4 years of experience in penetration testing or ethical hacking
· Certifications such as OSCP, eJPT, CEH, or Security+ are highly desirable
