IT System Admin

Position Overview

The IT System Administrator is responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance of systems and networks. This role works closely with the IT Head to support daily operations, strengthen system reliability, and enable a seamless technology experience across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proactive ownership, and hands-on experience in system administration and IT operations.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline, including but not limited to:

• B.Sc. in Information Technology
• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics
• Any equivalent technical degree from a recognized university or institution

Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Administration & Technical Operations

• Administer, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support for laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and office IT infrastructure.
• Perform OS installations, system upgrades, patch management, and performance optimization.
• Diagnose and resolve system, hardware, software, and application-related issues in a timely manner.

Network & Infrastructure Management

• Manage and support LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi networks, firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Handle IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and basic routing configurations.
• Monitor network and server performance, logs, alerts, backups, and system health.
• Ensure high system uptime and proactive issue prevention.

User Access & Identity Management

• Manage Active Directory, email systems, user access rights, and permissions.
• Execute IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including access provisioning and de-provisioning.
• Ensure compliance with role-based access controls and internal IT policies.

IT Asset & Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate IT asset records using inventory tools (e.g., Keka or similar platforms).
• Oversee device lifecycle management including issuance, retrieval, formatting, and disposal.
• Coordinate hardware repairs, replacements, and vendor servicing.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

• Enforce organizational IT security standards, password policies, and endpoint compliance.
• Manage antivirus solutions, security patches, and routine vulnerability checks.
• Assist in audits, data protection initiatives, and incident response activities.

Documentation & Vendor Coordination

• Develop and maintain system documentation, SOPs, setup guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
• Coordinate with vendors for IT procurement, AMC contracts, licensing, and external support.
• Support cost-effective IT operations through vendor negotiations and resource planning.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in IT system administration, infrastructure support, or similar roles.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, Windows OS, macOS, and basic Linux administration.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Experience with Active Directory, email systems, backups, and monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in diagnosing hardware, software, and system-level issues.
• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced product-based environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Surat, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
