- You’ll work with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and requirements during sourcing and renewals.
- You’ll guide stakeholders to adhere to established IT procurement practices.
- You’ll manage the lifecycle of software and subscription renewals prior to expiry, ensuring alignment with the IT budget.
- You’ll negotiate basic legal and commercial terms, including pricing, with vendors at the point of contract.
- You’ll provide supply market insights and sourcing recommendations to stakeholders.
- You’ll manage supplier bidding and evaluation processes in collaboration with stakeholders
- You’ll manage suppliers according to the company’s supplier management framework.
- You’ll identify high-impact cost reduction opportunities where appropriate.
- You’ll resolve operational contractual issues such as invoice vs. contract commitments.
- You’ll build spend reports as required for key vendors
- You’ll support the team in procurement administration tasks.
- You’ll use influence and reason—not command and control—to gain stakeholder buy-in.
- You’ll leverage customer insights to guide business initiatives.
- You’ll ensure best practice customer initiatives are adopted and applied.
- You’ll provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers within company guidelines, regulatory obligations, and SLAs.
- You’ll ensure all contact and interactions are of the highest standard, communicating clearly and appropriately to all stakeholders.
- You’ll collaborate and provide regular reporting and updates to key stakeholders across the Cover-More Group.
- You’ll ensure all communication aligns with the delivery of our Brand Promise to stakeholders.
And what are we looking for?
- You’ll bring 5–7 years of procurement experience in a corporate environment, ideally within Procurement, Finance, or IT teams.
- You’ll have at least 3–4 years of specific IT procurement experience, particularly in software deals.
- You’ll hold a business degree in fields such as business, economics, finance, or law (preferably Australian) or a related discipline.
- You’ll demonstrate strong communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English and active listening abilities.
- You’ll be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- You’ll show flexibility by assisting team members outside your stated scope of work when required.
- You’ll be open to feedback and willing to adapt when directed.
- You’ll have experience maintaining positive working relationships across a diverse stakeholder base.
- You’ll exhibit effective time management and organizational skills.
- You’ll be comfortable collaborating with teammates in Australia, India, and EMEA regions across different time zones when required.
