Job Summary:

Job Title: IT Administrator

Location: Bangalore, KA

Experience: 4- 7 Years

IT Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management

Administer and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux).
Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage systems (SAN/NAS).
Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and health, taking proactive actions to avoid downtime.
Manage patching, firmware updates, and lifecycle management of infrastructure components.

Network & Security

Configure and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
Implement and manage network segmentation, VLANs, and QoS.
Ensure infrastructure security through firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.

Cloud & Hybrid Environments

Deploy and manage workloads in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Optimize hybrid cloud infrastructure and connectivity.
Manage identity and access control (IAM) in cloud and on-premise systems.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

Configure and monitor enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.).
Test disaster recovery plans to ensure rapid recovery in case of system failure.

Automation & Optimization

Develop and maintain scripts for infrastructure automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Continuously improve infrastructure efficiency, cost, and performance.

Documentation & Collaboration

Maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, configurations, and diagrams.
Collaborate with IT security, application teams, and vendors on infrastructure projects.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
4–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration.
Expert in Windows/Linux server administration, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Experience with enterprise storage solutions, load balancers, and firewall management.
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
ITIL certification or equivalent knowledge of IT service management.
