Job Description

Role Overview ​ The Inventory & Procurement Executive will play a key role in managing the factory inventory and procurement support for Orbit’s operations. This role involves maintaining accurate stock records, issuing materials for production, coordinating with vendors for supplies, and assisting in procurement documentation. By ensuring that materials are properly received, tracked, and available on time, the Executive helps maintain smooth production workflows and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory & Store Management Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials against purchase orders. Label, organize, and store materials for easy access and safety compliance. Issue materials against production requests with proper documentation. Maintain daily stock registers (manual/Excel/ERP) for real-time tracking. Conduct periodic cycle counts and support stock audits. Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies promptly to supervisors. 2. Procurement Support Assist in preparing purchase requests and procurement indents. Coordinate with vendors for quotations, order confirmations, and deliveries. Verify supplier invoices against received materials before submitting to accounts. Maintain updated supplier records, purchase orders, and supporting documentation. 3. Factory & Production Coordination Work closely with the production team to forecast material requirements. Monitor consumption patterns and raise alerts for low or critical stock. Support dispatch and logistics for inward/outward material movement. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of inventory control and store management practices. Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management. Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, or inventory management software. Attention to detail with high accuracy in stock and billing records. Good communication and negotiation skills for vendor coordination. Ability to work in a factory environment and meet deadlines under pressure. Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy of stock records and reporting. Timely issuance of materials for production. % of procurement support tasks completed within deadlines. Reduction in stock discrepancies and shortages.
