Job Description

Role Overview The Store Manager – Inventory Management will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all activities related to raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and finished goods within the store department of the packaged drinking water bottle manufacturing plant. The role ensures smooth material availability, proper storage, inventory accuracy, and strict compliance with FIFO/FEFO standards to support uninterrupted production and timely dispatch. Key Responsibilities Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts. Oversee storage and movement of finished goods (bottles, jars, cartons, pouches, etc.) with strict FIFO/FEFO compliance. Maintain optimum stock levels by tracking daily inflows and outflows. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliations with production and sales departments. Minimize stock variance through robust inventory control and documentation. Implement and monitor ERP/Inventory Management Systems for accuracy. Ensure proper barcode, bin card, and GRN (Goods Receipt Note) management. Maintain documentation for audit, ISO, FSSAI, and BIS compliance. Adhere to safety, hygiene, and 5S practices in the store and warehouse. Coordinate with the production team to ensure uninterrupted material supply. Monitor movement of returnable containers (20L jars, crates, pallets, etc.). Liaise with purchase/procurement for timely replenishment of critical items. Lead and supervise store executives, material handlers, and forklift operators. Monitor loading/unloading activities and ensure zero damage or loss. Implement cost-control measures to reduce wastage, pilferage, and downtime. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of inventory control methods (FIFO/FEFO, ABC analysis, JIT). Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP, Tally, or other inventory software. Excellent coordination with production, procurement, and dispatch teams. Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver. Leadership, people management, and communication skills. Knowledge of packaged drinking water industry regulations (BIS, FSSAI). Qualification & Experience Graduate in Commerce/Business Administration/Engineering/Logistics. 2–5 years’ experience in inventory/store management, preferably in FMCG, beverages, or packaged drinking water industry. Exposure to high-volume manufacturing units with multiple packaging lines is desirable.
