Internal Control Manager

Role and Responsibility :

• Design and implement a comprehensive internal control framework based on regulatory guidelines.
• Develop processes / policy documents to ensure compliance with all SOX/ICOFR requirements and issuance of SOX/ ICFR Certificate.
• Implement an annual internal control review and testing program to assess effectiveness and identify control deficiencies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems over financial reporting and report on design/operating deficiencies of such internal controls which include reporting and deliberations with senior management.
• Oversee risk control assessment to ensure that changes to policies / procedures / applications for the allocated processes are assessed for risk and controls are recommended, documented and implemented.
• Lead root-cause analysis for control failures and ensure timely corrective actions with accountability.
• Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify gaps and areas of improvement in existing controls, and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Conduct ongoing training and capacity-building programs for business and support functions.
• Lead and manage a team of internal control professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
• Monitor and track progress on corrective actions, ensuring timely completion and reporting the control issue to the management.

Must haves for the role:

• Experience in financial industry or NBFC

• Knowledge of the industry standards and regulations and corporate governance best practices

• An analytical bent of mind in order to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations

• Attention to Details: Ability to notice triggers/actions for possible non compliances/ control gaps

• Willingness for travelling to branches across PAN India

• Flexible approach in taking up new role/ assignments as per organization's requirements
