About the Role:

This role provides back-office and technical support for internal communications in LM Re; two LII regions: UK&MENA, and Europe; international HR and international Technology.



About the Department & Team:

The goal of the internal communication function is to use high performance internal communication to improve employee performance and deliver the business strategy. The function is made up of eight people based internationally: head of, six business partners (one of whom is a senior BP), and an internal communications advisor. The function provides strategic advice and guidance. In particular, on moving away from ‘traditional’ broadcast communications to communication that helps make change happen and improve employee performance. It manages business-wide channels (including intranet, social platforms, corporate emails, in-person and virtual ‘town halls’, videos). And develops high quality deliverables including plans and approaches for specific projects/programmes as well as ‘business as usual’ communications.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Keeping the work in progress tracker updated including, entering stats using Adobe Analytics
  • Uploading videos to myVideo
  • Maintaining automated distribution lists
  • Producing monthly communication statistics for LM Re, LII Europe and LII UK&MENA


Sending of formal written communications via our mailing system (DotDigital) – LM Re, LII Europe/UK&MENA

  • Pulling distribution lists
  • Creating communication in DD
  • Managing send of communication



Intranet management

  • Publishing/setting up articles including organising design assets with agency when needed
  • Intranet updates for areas owned by IC
  • Building intranet pages for specific communications e.g. financial results for LII, LM Re, LII Europe and LII UK& MENA


Town hall support

  • Generating Distribution Lists (DL) for invites / relevant comms
  • Creating and sending out question's in advance email
  • Coordinating with AV to sort dial in and speaker links, providing AV with agenda
  • Creating survey for follow up email
  • Creating and sending out follow up email

Skills and Experience:


  • Tech-savvy and able to use a variety of different systems quickly
  • Experience of working with digital media/in a communication environment is helpful but not necessary if the person is right
  • Good at making things happen
  • Be comfortable working flexibly and sometimes under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Able to prioritise effectively and good self-management with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Happy working on both large-scale longer-term projects and ad hoc pieces of work
  • Quick, able to understand requirements quickly and fast to deliver
  • Able to work for different team members and prioritise accordingly
  • Happy to challenge the status quo and make suggestions for improving how we do things
  • Numerate and able to display information well
