Job Description

Job Responsibilities: Project Work: · Freeze instrumentation philosophy for the entire plant considering control, validation, and safety. · Review instrument specifications, Control valve specification, instrument schedule and floating instrument inquiries. · Review Hook up diagram, wiring diagram, cable tray layout, and cable schedule. · To prepare and review Process Control Scheme · To prepare an instrumentation list and MTO for all accessories and mountings. · To review the approval of vendor drawings, tender documents. · Issue Enquires and Tender Documents carrying out technical appraisal of quotations and recommending suitable vendor for supply and installation and laying down the methods of erection, testing, start-up, etc. · Work with Chemical Engineers to identify areas where automation can add value and propose to management for modification. · Design and Engineering of complete electrical distribution in the plant from a single LT source. · Supervise electrical and instrumentation works. · Assist with electrical activities as and when required. · Review of GA Drawing, BOM, Standards and protections of panels & Verify during FAT of Panels & Machines, Installation of TSD, Mixers, Pneumatic Powder conveying system, Reactors. · Monitor adherence to compliance related to Electrical Safety · Site planning & monitoring of project progress by preparation and regular updating of Project schedule of Electrical work Maintenance work: · Troubleshoot electrical equipment failures and recommend solutions to avoid recurring issues. · To manage maintenance and instrumentation activities for facilities in the manufacturing plants for safe and smooth operations. · To carry out instrumentation application study and modification of plant facilities according to technical specification and business requirements. · Evaluate current preventive/predictive maintenance program to identify areas of improvement · Review electrical system inspection and maintenance reports · Develop and implement improvements in electrical maintenance program to improve electrical system reliability · Review and document electrical system coordination studies · Participate actively in safety programs and promote safety rules · To conduct and arrange training for staff and contractors to enhance their skill and competency levels. · To implement and monitor IMS systems and face relevant audits. · Keep record of all stock and supplies, including company’s electrical equipment. · Help the organization reduce energy costs. Requirements: · Minimum 3 years experience in the Chemical/ Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry · Minimum 5 years of overall experience · Diploma or Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering · Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc) · Ability to work with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and environmental concerns · Excellent oral and written communication skills.
