Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer - Polymer & Textile Plant Key Responsibilities: System Design and Optimization : Design, develop, and optimize instrumentation systems for controlling and monitoring polymer and textile manufacturing processes instrument. Installation and Commissioning : Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation systems such as flow meters, temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, and level controllers in the plant's machinery and equipment. Maintenance and Troubleshooting : Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment to minimize downtime, ensure high-quality production, and resolve issues such as inaccurate readings or malfunctioning sensors. Control Systems Management : Manage control systems (such as PLCs, SCADA, and DCS) for real-time monitoring of critical parameters, and optimize production processes based on the data collected from instruments. Calibration and Validation : Calibrate and validate the measurement and control instruments used in polymer and textile manufacturing to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Process Data Analysis : Monitor and analyse process data from the instruments, identifying performance trends and making recommendations for process improvements, energy savings, and product quality optimization. Safety and Compliance : Ensure that all instrumentation systems meet safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices, particularly in areas related to chemical handling, heat management, and wastewater treatment. Collaboration : Work closely with process engineers, plant operators, and maintenance teams to ensure proper integration of instrumentation systems into the production lines. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of equipment installation, calibration procedures, troubleshooting actions, and process data. Report on system performance and any corrective actions taken. Project Management : Assist with or lead instrumentation-related projects, including the upgrade of control systems, the introduction of new equipment, and the automation of processes. Required Skills and Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, EC Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience : 2+ years of experience in instrumentation or control systems engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in polymer or textile plants. Technical Skills : Strong understanding of instrumentation systems used in manufacturing, such as temperature sensors, flow meters, pressure transmitters, and actuators. Experience with control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA) and automation of polymer or textile processes. Knowledge of process control systems in extrusion, spinning, weaving, dyeing, coating, or similar textile-related processes. Familiarity with industry-specific software tools (e.g., SCADA, HMI systems) for process control and monitoring. Problem-Solving : Ability to analyse process problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in real time. Communication : Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, plant operators, and maintenance staff. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with the specific requirements of polymer and textile manufacturing processes. Knowledge of energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability practices in polymer and textile production. Experience with automation and control system upgrades, data acquisition, and predictive maintenance in manufacturing settings. Knowledge of safety regulations for chemical handling, textile production processes, and equipment maintenance in a plant environment. Work Environment: The role typically operates within a production facility or plant, with some office-based work for planning and design. Depending on the job, the engineer may need to spend time in the field to monitor instrumentation installations, carry out repairs, or conduct tests. Physical Demands: Ability to work in various environments, including on the production floor, near heavy machinery or in high-temperature areas. Some physical tasks such as lifting equipment, installing sensors, or troubleshooting machinery may be required. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher Pay: From ₹300,000.00 per year Schedule: Rotational shift Supplemental Pay: Overtime pay Work Location: In person
