Job overview:

The Inside Sales Specialist – SAARC is a hands-on role that plays an active part in helping develop Ross Video’s pipeline for revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers. As a direct extension of our front-line group of Regional Sales Managers, the Inside Sales Specialist facilitates SAARC sales opportunities with both end users and via Ross’ authorized business partner network. The Inside Sales Specialist has a key role in the Ross Video SAARC Sales Team, reporting to the General Manager - SAARC.

What the job is all about:

  • Support sales efforts across assigned territories by preparing quotations, highlighting product/service value, and guiding clients to facilitate the purchase of Ross solutions.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships through proactive communication, addressing inquiries, ensuring satisfaction, identifying growth opportunities, and expanding business through cross-sell, upsell and new customer acquisition.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to apply and implement opportunity specific sales approaches guided by the Ross Way To Sell (RWTS) methodology.
  • Manage pipeline activities, opportunity tracking, and accurate forecasting to ensure clean and timely order flow.
  • Coordinate with internal team to support order processing, issue resolution, and smooth sales operations.
  • Support General Manager and Regional Sales Manager with sales reviews, forecasting, and data analysis by providing insights that aid decision-making, while leveraging Commercial Ops Specialists for report creation when needed.
  • Handle inbound prospect calls, identify key decision makers, and initiate the sales process to convert leads into opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to keep abreast of technological developments.
  • Assist in sales presentations, activities, and events such as trade shows, exhibits, and other engagements as needed.
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Who you are:

  • Five years’ experience within a sales organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals to exceed sales targets.
  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, planning, account development, and time management.
  • Experience in sales forecasting & pipeline management.
  • Practical knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Experience selling video production equipment.
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Desire to constructively contribute to a team environment.
  • Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits.
  • Practical knowledge of inside sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Experience selling broadcast equipment is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the key components used in broadcast electronics applications is an advantage.
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Strong team player.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to schedule duties/projects (multi-task).
  • Ability to work unsupervised, attention to detail and an evident work ethic.
  • Desire to constructively contribute to a team environment.
  • Ability to thrive in stressful situations.

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software such as Salesforce.com.
  • Familiarity with the key components used in video production technology.
