Microsoft 365 Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Copilot Studio & Agentic AI:

Design and deploy intelligent agents and copilots using Copilot Studio.

Automate business processes using Power Automate Desktop and AI-driven workflows.

Collaborate with business units to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable solutions.

• Microsoft 365 Platform Expertise:

Architect and manage solutions across the M365 suite including:

• Intune

  – Endpoint management and device compliance, deploy and manage devices using Autopilot and push applications/packages/scripts

• Purview

  – Data governance, compliance, and information protection. Excellent understanding of retention policies, eDiscovery, data lifecycle controls.

• Defender

  – Threat protection and security posture management. Responsible for Microsoft Secure Score for Identity, Apps, Devices and Data. Should be able to monitor, analyze and provide insights on device, data and app usage which helps in security incidents.

• Entra ID (Azure AD)

  – Identity and access management. Manage the Conditional Access, MFA hybrid identity, and SSO integrations. Drive governance and automation around access provisioning, role-based access control (RBAC), Privileged Identity Management.

• Teams & Collaboration Tools

  : Build and manage Teams admin policies, lifecycle, compliance, and integration with SharePoint and OneDrive. Enable secure collaboration (internal & external) and ensure governance controls are in place.

• Exchange Online

  – Messaging and calendaring infrastructure. Manage the configuration and policies including messaging security like Safe Attachment/Safe Links, Automated investigation and response (AIR) capabilities, Threat protection policies (anti-phishing, anti-spam, anti-malware), etc.

• Governance & Security:

• Define and enforce M365 governance policies.
• Implement security controls and monitor compliance using Microsoft Defender and Purview.
• Lead incident response and remediation efforts for M365-related threats.

• Solution Architecture & Integration:

• Design end-to-end architecture for M365 integrations with third-party and internal systems.
• Provide technical leadership in migration, modernization, and optimization projects.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

• Partner with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors to align M365 strategy with organizational goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.

• Operational Excellence

• Provide L3 support and guidance to IT support teams on issue resolution and best practices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 architecture and administration.
• Proven expertise in

• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance in M365.
• Experience with scripting and automation ( Graph API, PowerShell, Power Automate).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, SC-300, PL-600) are a plus.
