Job Description

Network & Communication Systems

Implement and manage plant-wide connectivity (wired, wireless, SD-WAN).
Maintain secure and high-availability network access for production and support systems.
Monitor and optimize network traffic, latency, and failover configurations.

Server & Data Center Operations

Operate on-premises server rooms or micro data centers for localized workloads.
Support virtualization, storage management, backup, and disaster recovery.
Coordinate hybrid cloud extensions for non-real-time workloads.

IT Operations & Support

Oversee end-user computing, printers, plant floor devices
Manage asset lifecycle, hardware procurement, and vendor coordination
Ensure 24/7 IT support for critical manufacturing zones

Team Leadership

Lead a IT support team or system integrator resources at the plant
Manage SOPs for ticketing, escalation, and preventive maintenance
Work closely with hardware design, embedded software, validation, manufacturing, and IT security teams.

Soft Skills

Strong Communication & Presentation Skill - Translate technical details into business language for non-IT stakeholders., Strong written skills for documentation, emails, and SOPs.
Time Management & Prioritization - Manage overlapping deadlines across multiple projects in plant, Focus on high-impact tasks and escalate effectively.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
Preferred: Certifications like CCNA/CCNP, MCSE, ITIL, CISSP, or AWS/Azure

Experience

15+ years in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 10 years in a manufacturing plant
Strong hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VLANs, switches, and routers (Cisco/Fortinet).
Hands-on experience with switches, routers, server hardware, and firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
Working knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and backup system

Need to have Exposure in

Security & Compliance

Implement cybersecurity controls per International standards
Monitor endpoints, network security, intrusion detection
Ensure data integrity and compliance (especially for R&D/engineering IP)

Enterprise & Cloud Integration

Collaborate with enterprise IT for ERP (SAP), PLM, Active Directory, email, AD & VPN
Support hybrid cloud environments for DevOps or data analytics platforms
