About the Team:
The pricing team supports pricing managers in optimizing different pricing strategies for various product categories across channels. The team also provides reporting support for tracking and measurement along with driving rapid insights. The team leverages data analytics to forecast/measure the impact of pricing actions, recommend data driven price changes and identify sales/margin opportunities to achieve category wise goals.
Job Summary
The ‘Sr. Analyst – Pricing’ is responsible for strategic price test development, Data driven price change recommendation & measurement, and ad hoc work supporting Lowe’s strategic pricing efforts. In this role, the Sr Analyst will be assisting the Sr. Pricing Analysts & Pricing Managers in developing, modeling, communicating, and tracking performance of new initiatives related to Pricing.
Roles & Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing cluster-specific data analytics, including development and deployment of necessary dashboards, reporting & insights.
- Research, design, and develop applicable statistical approaches/models for specific business problems (Price Testing, Price Change, Postmortem & Category review).
- Design and develop processes to gather, explore, structure, enrich, and clean large datasets from various internal and external sources.
- Leverage Item role designation (Key Value Item (KVI), Head, Core & Tail) models in support of Role of Category and Intent objectives to develop insights.
- Develop scalable retail test processes and frameworks for design of experiment, test v/s control testing, baseline development, assessment, and recommendations.
- Analyse Competitor demographics & performance for pricing across key categories.
- Ad Hoc reporting and analysis for Pricing team.
- Develop executive-ready presentations synthesizing multiple data sets to effect a new decision related to Pricing
- Must possess a strong understanding of the business in order to provide effective solutions that meet the customer’s needs and the ability to drive a concept from vision to completion with limited direction

- 3-6 years of relevant experience
Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus 3+ years’ experience in an analytical role OR 6+ years of relevant experience in a professional environment
Skill Set Required
Primary Skills (must have)
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or any other Quantitative discipline plus 3+ years’ experience in analytical role
- Experience in Data mining and visualization tool such as Power BI, Excel, GCP, and SQL (ETL)
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to accumulate, evaluate, and generate insights from disparate data sources. Capable of summarizing vast amounts of information as well as understanding the detail supporting the analysis
- Story building with data – Presentations that depict results in a way that can be shared across levels & actionable insights
- Experience in statistical concepts/modeling
- Process Improvement/Automation experience
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Secondary Skills (desired)
- Technical expertise in Tableau, Knime, Power Automate
- Experience in Python, statistical concepts/modeling
- Experience in Pricing Analytics or Marketing Analytics or Retail Analytics
- Experience working in Global Operating Model
- Project Management experience
