Human Resources Manager

The HR Manager will lead and manage HR operations of a diversified, multi-sector conglomerate with 30 employees spanning across real estate development and leasing, power generation, and lending / NBFC. The core responsibility of the HR manager will be to align HR initiatives with the overall corporate strategy, ensuring the effective implementation of policies, and cultivate a high-performance work environment.

Role & responsibilities:

• Oversee the diverse day-to-day HR activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Implement and update HR policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to the diverse needs of the organization.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisal processes, and employee records maintenance.
• Ensure that HR policies and practices adhere to both national employment laws and industry-specific regulations.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies related to workforce management, including employee relations, safety, and data privacy, to protect the organizations reputation and legal standing.
• Develop an effective code of conduct, ensuring it reflects ethical standards across all business areas while reinforcing the organizations commitment to integrity and corporate responsibility.
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and corporate governance standards.
• Collaborate with internal audit and legal teams to manage risk across business units.
• Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and industry regulations affecting diverse business operations of the organization.

Employee Engagement & Relations, Organizational Culture, and Talent Management:

• Implement targeted strategies to boost employee morale, engagement, and retention.
• Address employee relations issues & mediate conflicts.
• Facilitate performance management & career development.
• Cultivating a cohesive organizational culture that bridges the differences between business units while emphasizing shared values, collaboration, and a commitment to innovation, integrity and excellence.
• Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies that meet the diverse needs of the organization.
• Manage performance, set objectives, and conduct regular reviews.

Strategic HR Partnership & Branding:

• Work closely with the board and business unit leaders to align HR initiatives with operational goals of the organization.
• Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.
• Contribute to strategic discussions by gathering and analysing HR metrics and performance indicators across business units of the organization.
• Champion the organizations brand with active involvement at all branding touchpoints. Consistently articulating its values, its achievements, & its commitment to innovation and integrity.

Vendor relations:

• Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, recruitment agencies etc., to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support.

Preferred candidate profile:

Educational Background:

• A Master's degree or professional HR certification.

Experience:

• A minimum of 4 -6 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven track record in talent management, employee relations, and policy implementation in diversified settings.
