Role & responsibilities

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will work closely with leadership and functional heads to support people strategy, day-to-day HR operations, and organizational growth. This role is hands-on, execution-focused, and aligned with a fast-growing consumer brands environment.

This role currently functions as a one-person HR setup, offering end-to-end exposure across HR operations, people strategy, and business partnering. Given the companys small but growing team, the HRBP will have the opportunity to build processes from the ground up and scale the function over time as the organization expands. This is a high-ownership role with significant scope for growth alongside the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders on workforce planning, performance, and team structure
  • Own end-to-end employee lifecycle: hiring support, onboarding, engagement, performance reviews, and exits
  • Support hiring managers with role clarity, interview coordination, and closure of positions
  • Drive performance management processes, goal setting, and periodic reviews
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and conflict resolution with maturity and discretion
  • Ensure HR policies, processes, and compliance are followed consistently
  • Manage attendance, leave, payroll coordination, and basic HR operations
  • Support culture-building initiatives aligned with Wonder Goods values and pace
  • Act as a bridge between employees and management, ensuring clear communication both ways

Preferred candidate profile

  • 47 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in an HRBP or senior HR generalist role
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments such as startups, D2C, e-commerce, FMCG, or consumer brands
  • Strong understanding of hiring, performance management, and employee relations
  • Hands-on mindset: comfortable handling both strategic discussions and operational tasks
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage sensitive situations calmly
  • Clear communicator, confident in dealing with managers and employees across levels
  • Familiarity with Indian labor laws and HR compliance basics
  • Based in or willing to work from Noida (full-time, in-office)
  • Organized, dependable, and able to handle multiple priorities without losing clarity
