Job Description

As a Human Resource Specialist at Extropy Advisors, you will be an integral part of our team in Kolkata, supporting HR operations, recruitment processes, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance. Your role is essential in creating a positive work environment and aligning HR strategies with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with the US-based HR team at Extropy to ensure seamless coordination and timely updates. Your responsibilities will include managing end-to-end recruitment processes, conducting new employee orientations, acting as a point of contact for HR-related queries, resolving employee grievances, and mediating conflicts. You will play a key role in fostering employee engagement and productivity through various initiatives. Additionally, you will assist in developing and implementing performance appraisal systems, monitoring employee performance, providing support for professional development, and ensuring that employees meet performance expectations. You will also be responsible for maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies, updating HR policies, and administering employee benefits programs. In terms of HR reporting and analytics, you will generate reports related to recruitment, employee turnover, and engagement metrics. By analyzing trends, you will make recommendations to enhance HR processes. Effective communication is crucial in this role, as you will regularly liaise with the US-based Extropy HR team, collaborate on global HR initiatives, and provide local insights to contribute to overall HR objectives. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 2-5 years of HR experience, preferably in recruitment, employee relations, or HR operations. Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR best practices is required, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite is also essential. Key skills for success in this role include problem-solving, conflict resolution, attention to detail, accuracy, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
