Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and versatile professional to fill the dual role of HR Manager & Head of Operations. This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for steering the entire spectrum of human resources while simultaneously ensuring the seamless operational delivery of our consulting services.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of nurturing our talented team and optimizing our internal processes. You will act as the vital link between our leadership, our expert consulting teams, and our valued clients, ensuring organizational effectiveness and exceptional service delivery across all three departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Human Resources Management (Strategic & Tactical)

Full HR Lifecycle Management: Oversee all HR functions including talent acquisition, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and offboarding.

Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with Indian labour laws and industry best practices.

Culture & Engagement: Champion a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work culture. Drive employee engagement initiatives and act as a trusted advisor to both employees and leadership.

Compensation & Benefits: Manage the company's compensation structure, payroll administration, and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and equitable.

Performance Management: Implement and manage a robust performance appraisal system that encourages professional growth and aligns individual goals with company objectives.

2. Operations & Process Excellence

SOP Development & Implementation: Collaborate closely with the departmental Team Leads (Secretarial, Legal, VCFO) to design, document, and implement clear and efficient Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all key functions.

Workflow Optimization: Continuously review and enhance internal workflows to improve efficiency, quality of service, and resource allocation across departments.

Operational Oversight: Monitor key operational metrics to ensure projects are on track, resources are utilized effectively, and quality standards are consistently met.

3. Client Relationship & Service Delivery Management

Client-Firm Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact to bridge the gap between client expectations and the firm's service delivery. Ensure clear, proactive, and consistent communication.

Deliverable Coordination: Work with consulting teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks or delays.

Client Satisfaction: Develop mechanisms to gather client feedback, address concerns promptly, and drive initiatives to enhance overall client satisfaction and retention.

4. Team Collaboration & Leadership

Inter-departmental Synergy: Foster seamless communication and collaboration between the Secretarial, Legal, and VCFO departments to ensure integrated service offerings.

Leadership Support: Mentor and support Team Leads, empowering them to manage their teams effectively and drive departmental success.

Conflict Resolution: Act as a neutral mediator to resolve any internal or client-facing conflicts effectively and professionally.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience, with a proven track record in both Human Resources and Operations Management.

Industry Background: Experience in a professional services environment (e.g., consulting firm, law firm, CA firm) is highly preferred.

Education: An MBA in Human Resources or Operations, or a related postgraduate degree.

Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. The ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to various stakeholders is essential.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a solutions-oriented mindset.

Client-Facing Acumen: Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and a deep commitment to service excellence.

Process-Oriented: A strong aptitude for process improvement, systems thinking, and operational efficiency.

Legal Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
