Job Title: HR Business Partner – Jewellery Retail

Location: Coimbatore

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Retail Operations

Salary : 4Lacs – 6Lacs per annum based on experience,skills, knowledge and attitude.

Our Click and Collect Store is a unique Virtual Experience Centre designed to bring you the best of both online convenience and in-store service. It allows you to browse and order your favourite gold jewellery online and collect it at your nearest C&C Store, all while enjoying the lowest Value Addition (VA) cost in India

D A R jewellery has a huge space showroom in the Townhall (25,000 sq ft), which has two way entrance to showcase products in an appealing environment.

Position Overview:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will play a key role in driving people strategy and organizational effectiveness across the retail network of DAR Jewellery. The role involves partnering with showroom operations to ensure smooth HR processes, employee engagement, talent development, and compliance — aligning people performance with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for showroom and retail roles (Sales, Store Ops, Support).
  • Ensure timely manpower planning in coordination with Store Managers and Retail Heads.
  • Conduct induction, orientation, and onboarding programs to integrate new employees effectively.

Performance Management (PMS & Appraisal Systems)

  • Implement and monitor PMS, KRA/KPI tracking, and 360° appraisal systems across departments.
  • Support department heads in setting measurable goals and reviewing performance outcomes.
  • Drive reward and recognition programs to boost motivation and retention.

Learning & Development (Training)

  • Identify training needs for sales and store teams; design and deliver training calendars.
  • Conduct training on product knowledge, selling skills, grooming, and customer experience.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and performance improvements.

Employee Engagement & Grievance Handling

  • Maintain healthy employee relations through proactive grievance handling and counselling.
  • Conduct employee engagement activities, skip-level meetings, and HR audits.
  • Act as an HR partner to store managers to ensure smooth communication and team morale.

Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements like ESI, PF, Gratuity, Bonus, Shops & Establishments Act, etc.
  • Maintain employee records, documentation, and monthly HR MIS reports.

Process Improvement & Retail Excellence

  • Promote and implement Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S practices within HR and retail operations.
  • Participate in audits, internal HR process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support management in policy updates, SOP adherence, and organizational development activities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Retail HR Operations (Jewellery sector preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in PMS, KRA/KPI setting, and 360° feedback systems.
  • Excellent communication, people management, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proactive approach to process improvement and employee engagement.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S methodologies.
  • Sound knowledge of Statutory HR Compliance (ESI, PF, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel and HRMS proficiency preferred.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in jewellery or retail industry.
  • Proven track record in recruitment, training, and performance management.

  • Manpower fulfillment within TAT.
  • Reduction in attrition and absenteeism.
  • Training coverage and post-training performance improvement.
  • 100% statutory and HR audit compliance.
  • Employee satisfaction and engagement index.
  • Implementation of 5S, Kaizen, and process improvements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
