Job Description

Senior HR Manager – Construction Industry

Experience Required: 10+ years (Mandatory experience in construction/infrastructure industry)

Reporting To: Managing Director / COO / Director – Operations

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior HR Manager with over 10 years of experience, preferably in

the construction or infrastructure sector, to lead and revamp our HR department. The ideal

candidate will be a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor, capable of designing robust HR

policies, managing site-based HR operations, and acting as a strong, balanced voice between

employees and management. This is a leadership role demanding vision, execution, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Strategy & Policy Leadership

 Design, review, and implement end-to-end HR policies in alignment with current labor laws

and organizational objectives.

 Standardize HR procedures across head office and project sites.

 Build a scalable and compliant HR framework for future growth.

2. Workforce Planning & Recruitment

 Oversee full-cycle recruitment for technical, non-technical, and labor staff.

 Collaborate with Project Heads to forecast manpower needs across multiple sites.

 Build a strong employer brand to attract high-quality talent from the construction industry.

3. Employee Engagement & Relations

 Serve as a key liaison between the management and workforce to foster transparency and

trust.

 Set up and manage grievance redressal systems across sites and HO.

 Maintain high levels of employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention.

4. HR Operations & Compliance

 Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, leave management, and attendance tracking.

 Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, CLRA, etc.).

 Conduct HR audits and ensure readiness for client, ISO, or statutory inspections.

5. Performance Management & Learning

 Lead the Performance Management System (PMS) implementation across levels.

 Identify skill gaps and create annual training calendars.

 Drive leadership development and upskilling initiatives for site and HO staff.

6. Site HR & Labor Welfare

 Monitor and support HR functioning at project sites and worker camps.

 Ensure labor welfare compliance—safety, sanitation, health, canteen, and accommodation

standards.

 Handle disputes, union matters, and ensure timely resolution of site-level HR issues.

Candidate Profile:

 MBA/PGDM in HR or related field from a recognized institute.

 Minimum 10+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in the

construction/infrastructure/real estate industry.

 In-depth knowledge of labor laws, HR systems, payroll, and compliance.

 Experience in managing multi-location/site HR operations.

 Proven track record of strategic HR leadership and people management.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
