Dibber India - HR Head People and Culture


Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Head - People and Culture with a strong background and relationships in the education industry to lead and oversee our HR operations across India. The ideal candidate will bring deep understanding of educator hiring, strong industry relationships, and the ability to manage HR operations with warmth, accuracy, and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Educator Hiring

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for preschool and school educators, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the education ecosystem (training institutes, schools, networks). Build partnerships with ECCEd, NTT, B.Ed institutions for fresh talent.
  • Design an efficient selection process including application screening, interviews, demo classes (for teaching roles), behavioral assessments, and background verification.
  • Train hiring managers on structured interview techniques and child-safety-centered hiring practices.
  • Monitor and report key hiring metrics – time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, offer-to-joining ratio, etc.


Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Oversee monthly payroll processing in coordination with finance, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursements.
  • Manage employee benefits including gratuity, medical insurance, and statutory leave policies.
  • Resolve payroll-related queries and discrepancies promptly.


Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives aligned with company culture and values.
  • Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews, and action plans to enhance retention.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment across all units.
  • Onboarding induction (Instruction to heart culture). Create a warm, structured, and culture-rich onboarding experience for new hires.


HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and labor laws.
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards and MIS reports for leadership.
  • Regulatory compliance. Follow state wise regulations pertaining to labor law.


Performance Management

  • Implementing performance evaluation systems, setting goals, providing feedback, and managing employee performance issues.  


Policy & Process Implementation

  • Support the creation and implementation of HR policies, SOPs, and frameworks tailored to the education industry.
  • Ensure uniformity and consistency in HR practices across locations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • 12+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in the education industry.
  • Deep understanding of preschool/school educator profiles and industry-specific needs.
  • Proven experience in payroll, compliance, and benefits administration.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passionate about people, culture, and child-centric values.
