hands-on HR Generalist


What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)


1. Talent & Recruitment

  • Manage full-cycle hiring: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding across tech, product, sales, ops, and marketing.
  • Build employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
  • Drive structured interview processes and reduce hiring turnaround time.


2. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Lead initiatives to build an open, high-trust, and performance-driven culture.
  • Plan and execute engagement programs, team-building activities, and recognition systems.
  • Act as a

    culture custodian

    , ensuring alignment with company values.


3. Performance & Development

  • Drive performance review cycles (OKRs/KPIs, feedback loops, appraisals).
  • Identify learning and development needs; coordinate training and mentorship programs.
  • Support leadership in succession planning and career growth pathways.


4. HR Business Partnering

  • Partner with founders and department heads to align people strategy with business goals.
  • Provide HR analytics (attrition, hiring metrics, engagement scores) for decision-making.
  • Be a trusted advisor for both managers and employees.


5. Policy & Compliance(Need to be Familiar)

  • Draft, update, and implement HR policies (leave, WFH, performance, POSH, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance audits, labor law adherence, and proper HR documentation.
  • Handle employee grievances and ensure smooth conflict resolution.


6. HR Operations & Payroll(Need to be Familiar)

  • Manage payroll, attendance, leave, and reimbursements using Keka (or similar HRMS).
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, TDS, labor laws).
  • Coordinate with vendors for payroll and employee benefits.


What We’re Looking For (Requirements)

✔️ 3–4 years of well-rounded HR experience

✔️ Strong generalist exposure: recruitment, engagement, performance, payroll, and compliance

Excellent communication and people skills

✔️ Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR compliance

✔️ Degree in HR / MBA-HR preferred
