Job Description

Position Overview

specifically in a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit


Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition (Manufacturing Only)

  • Hire skilled manpower for

    Production, Packing, QA, QC, Engineering, Warehousing, EHS

    , and plant support roles.
  • Conduct shop-floor level interviews and coordinate trade tests where applicable.
  • Ensure timely onboarding and GMP-focused induction for plant employees.

2. HR Operations & Statutory Compliance

  • Maintain employee records, personal files, training files, and HRIS.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with

    Factories Act, CLRA, PF, ESIC, EHS

    , and pharma-specific statutory norms.
  • Coordinate with contractors for documentation, gate passes, and labour compliance.
  • Prepare HR documents required during

    GMP, USFDA, WHO, MHRA, ISO

    audits.

3. Training & Development (GMP-Focused)

  • Prepare and execute

    Annual Training Calendar

    for GMP, GDP, safety, hygiene, and technical modules.
  • Maintain training attendance, assessments, and audit-friendly records.
  • Support department-wise training need analysis.

4. Leave & Attendance Management

  • Monitor attendance, shifts, OT, weekly-offs, and leave balances.
  • Ensure smooth shift scheduling for 24×7 manufacturing operations.
  • Provide accurate inputs for payroll processing.

5. Employee Relations & Engagement (Plant Level)

  • Manage employee queries, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain healthy relations with shop-floor employees and supervisors.
  • Conduct engagement activities to improve morale and retention at the plant.

6. Health, Safety & Welfare

  • Coordinate with the EHS team for safety drills, PPE compliance, and industrial hygiene.
  • Support medical check-ups, health camps, and welfare activities for workers.

7. Policy Adherence

  • Implement HR policies, SOPs, and manufacturing-specific guidelines.
  • Ensure plant HR processes align with regulatory and audit expectations.


Qualifications

  • Graduate/PG (MBA/PGDM in HR preferred or any relevant degree).
  • 3- 6 years of HR experience strictly in a pharmaceutical manufacturing (plant) environment.

  • Strong knowledge of

    GMP, GDP, statutory compliance, and audit documentation

    .

  • Experience with shop-floor manpower management.

  • Strong IR, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in shifts when required.
