Job Description

Purpose of Role :

The purpose of this role is to lead brand development and corporate partnerships by effectively communicating the organization's vision with stakeholders and ensuring that existing stakeholders include Funding Partners, Employers, Corporate Volunteer Partners and Individual Volunteers.

Description:

The role has two major components, engaging with these partners to ensure that they continue to support Bright Future and help it grow. Secondly to develop new strategic partnerships in line with Bright Future’s mission.

Job Responsibilities

Partnerships (Corporate & Individual Fund Raising )

Pipeline Development

  • Work with the team to develop a grant-maker pipeline in the categories of (CSR, international Foundations
  • Domestic Foundations, individual /corporate volunteers, and HNIs).
  • Supervise the management of pipeline development and conversion for funding
  • Manage the progress toward goals and goal completion
  • Manage all research data and prepare thorough profiles of donors ahead of meetings
  • Prepare PPTs ahead of donor meetings

Proposal preparation

  • Prepare concept notes, donor proposals and budgets, verify the progress and the utilization, donor reporting and management

Partnership cultivation

Work with the Sustainability team to cultivate donor relationships by:
  • Attending meetings and calls with corporate partners
  • Managing communications with them as required
  • Working with the Corporate Partnerships Manager/s, Volunteering Manager, and Communications team to coordinate brand and messaging to external stakeholders
  • Establish and develop partnerships with the Government for funding and non-funding aspects

Volunteering Management

  • Maintain and grow volunteer base through outreach to individuals, community-based organizations and groups, colleges/universities, and corporations as needed.
  • Develop and implement a recruitment strategy to achieve goals with a clear plan for recruiting and engaging a diverse base of volunteers
  • Develop, document and coordinate all volunteer-specific training, policies, guidelines, toolkits, and materials required for volunteers.
  • Ensures volunteers/interns receive regular feedback from the program supervisor or manager. Assists in appropriate conflict resolution and guidance, as needed.

  • Assess the interests/skills of volunteers and match them with appropriate activities
  • Manage a comprehensive orientation process for new volunteers that includes: a. Information about volunteering, criteria for involvement
  • Update manual and website as necessary
  • Work closely with all department managers to periodically identify volunteer needs; assist with the development of volunteer job descriptions and assess current volunteer skills, volunteer positions are sufficiently filled, and volunteers and interns enjoy a positive experience
  • Create and manage all aspects of the volunteer database and personnel files.
  • Engage with existing volunteers weekly and provide feedback and additional information as needed
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of intern hiring by responding to individual and college requests. Assess the interests/skills of interns and match them with appropriate staff or projects,
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive orientation process for new interns to engage in ongoing feedback, and complete evaluations as required

Marketing & Communications

  • To create the branding guidelines for the organization to ensure standardization in any kind of communication done internally or externally to create a recall value for the organization. Additionally, to ensure that the guidelines are understood and followed by the team
  • To write customized content for various scheduled communications pieces collaterals to maintain constant contact with different stakeholders of the organization including - success stories, newsletters (internal and external), blogs, annual reports, etc
  • All of the above communications are in line with the annual communications Plan
  • To monitor that the video and photo documentation of the work/success stories is being done properly by all the relevant team
  • To create different collaterals for the team that act as supporting documents when they represent the organization to external stakeholders on an ad hoc basis. This includes designing collateral for center exhibits, brochures, one-pagers, pamphlets, posters, presentations, etc. for the promotion of the organization.
  • To maintain the digital platforms of Bright Future by regularly updating the platforms and responding to queries about the organization sent in online, to build authenticity. The digital platforms include the official website, social media platforms, and other websites that Bright Future is associated with, and media platforms
  • To formulate the online and offline marketing strategy to reach out to the maximum number of people and create a brand recall value for the organization
  • To apply/develop content for online/offline applications for Awards and accreditations
  • To represent the organization at relevant platforms in the development sector build Bright Future's network and establish Bright Future as a brand
  • To generate inbound leads (for various areas/needs of the organization (donors, volunteers, resource person, vacancies, etc.) via marketing and track the conversion of those leads in coordination with different functions. For eg. targeted job postings on LinkedIn to reach out to quality candidates for a vacancy.

Placements

  • Ensure development and maintenance of the current employer pool.
  • To explore and provide placement opportunities for all the programmes at Bright Future
  • Identify and convert employers to partners in Bright Future's growth
  • Explore all avenues of employer association with Bright Future not restricting it to only placements
