We're seeking a visionary product leader to spearhead our Education vertical and champion the cause of making learning truly effective for every student. This isn't about incremental improvements – it's about reimagining education from the ground up.In this role, you'll own strategic outcomes rather than manage processes. Your mission: craft and execute a comprehensive vision for our Education vertical that you'll have full authority to bring to life. You'll be the architect of our strategic "Brain Lift" framework – the master document that unifies our educational product ecosystem and drives our portfolio forward as a cohesive force. Leading a team of exceptional Product Owners, you'll operate as both strategist and hands-on executor.Traditional education's cookie-cutter approach leaves countless students behind. We're building something different: an AI-powered system grounded in learning science that delivers genuinely personalized instruction. We're demonstrating that education can be both intimately personal and powerfully transformative.This position diverges significantly from conventional VP of Product roles. What You Will Be Doing

  • Strategic Framework Development: Create and continuously refine the comprehensive "Education Domain BrainLift" – a strategic masterpiece that distills team insights and market intelligence into a unified vision, ensuring every product decision across the vertical serves our core mission.
  • Portfolio Strategy Leadership: Transform your strategic framework into a dynamic, outcome-focused roadmap that governs our entire product ecosystem. You'll orchestrate the sequence of initiatives that build momentum and provide the strategic foundation that guides your team's execution.
  • Hands-On Leadership Excellence: Embody the player-coach philosophy by personally executing critical OODA loops to establish execution standards, while simultaneously developing your team through strategic mentorship, refining their analytical capabilities, and ensuring seamless portfolio-wide coordination.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Traditional management responsibilities. Your focus centers on strategic leadership and execution excellence, not administrative oversight of budgets, headcount, or procedural management.
  • Implementing predetermined strategies. You're expected to personally develop the comprehensive strategic vision for the entire vertical, building insights organically from market research and team discoveries.
  • Maintaining rigid, inflexible roadmaps. Your portfolio strategy evolves continuously. You'll navigate the product landscape with strategic agility, incorporating fresh insights from weekly team iterations and your own strategic discoveries.
  • Managing a traditional feature development pipeline. Your success hinges on achieving transformative vertical outcomes. This demands fostering genuine synergy across products, transcending the limitations of isolated feature development.

Basic Requirements

Head of Product Growth key responsibilities

  • Minimum 6 years of product leadership experience where you personally crafted product vision and owned the fundamental problem-solution framework
  • Track record of successfully launching at least one complete product (beyond features or modules) that served external users from conception through launch, achieving minimum $1 million revenue milestone
  • Demonstrated professional experience integrating AI tools into daily workflows for research, analysis, strategic synthesis, and decision-making

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
