Head of Events

1. Events Strategy & Planning

• Develop the annual events roadmap, aligned to academic calendars, industry partnerships, and student engagement goals.
• Conceptualise high-impact events such as conclaves, CXO sessions, hackathons, incubator showcases, international immersions, conferences, and community engagement programs.
• Drive innovation in event formats, ensuring exceptional and memorable experiences for students and stakeholders.

2. Operations & Execution Leadership

• Lead all operational aspects of events including logistics, venue management, vendor coordination, AV setups, travel, hospitality, and safety/compliance.
• Implement event SOPs, checklists, and quality standards to ensure smooth execution across all event categories.
• Troubleshoot issues on-ground to ensure seamless run-throughs.

3. Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of event managers, executives, student ambassadors, and operations personnel.
• Collaborate with academic teams, admissions, corporate relations, marketing, and program managers for end-to-end alignment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external industry leaders, speakers, and partner organisations.

4. Vendor, Budget & Resource Management

• Oversee vendor selection, rate negotiation, and contract management for production, logistics, merchandise, decor, and hospitality services.
• Own and manage the events budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Forecast resource requirements and optimise utilisation across event cycles.

5. Experience Design & Quality Assurance

• Ensure every event reflects Masters’ Union’s premium, industry-immersive brand standards.
• Introduce feedback loops, event ROI analysis, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
• Leverage technology for event automation, attendee experience, registrations, and data capture.

6. Compliance, Risk & Governance

• Ensure all events adhere to institutional guidelines, safety protocols, local regulations, and risk-management practices.
• Maintain event documentation, approvals, and post-event reporting.
