Head of Design – MEP Modular Support Systems

Job Summary:

Fixotec Pipe Supports Pvt. Ltd. is a leading company in the MEP industry, providing high-quality solutions in engineering and project execution. We are looking for a motivated and detailoriented Head of Design to oversee MEP projects across India and internationally, ensuring innovative, efficient, and compliant design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer modular support systems for MEP components, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure.

• Develop detailed designs considering load-bearing capacity, structural integrity, space constraints, and compliance with building codes and regulations.

• Collaborate with architects, MEP consultants, structural engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with overall building design.

• Select appropriate modular support systems based on system requirements, space availability, load calculations, and installation methods.

• Evaluate prefabricated and custom-designed solutions to determine the most suitable approach for each project.

• Perform structural analysis and load calculations considering gravity, wind, seismic, and thermal loads to ensure safe and optimal design.

• Analyze material and labor costs, manage project timelines, and work within budget constraints to deliver cost-effective solutions.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, keeping updated with the latest building codes and safety guidelines.

• Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, technical specifications, and bills of materials.

• Prepare reports, submittals, and presentations to communicate design concepts and progress to project stakeholders.

• Conduct quality assurance checks and troubleshoot issues during fabrication and installation to ensure smooth MEP system integration.

• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in modular support system designs, optimizing safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.

• 5–10 years of experience in MEP project design and modular support systems, preferably with national-level project exposure.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other MEP systems.

• Expertise in structural analysis, load calculations, and design software (AutoCAD, Revit).

• Proven experience in leading and managing a design team.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

• Knowledge of Indian building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management abilities.
