About the Role


Content Head

The Content Head will own the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of all content produced and will give the final go / no-go approval on major content pieces. This is a leadership position that requires strong storytelling ability, deep strategic thinking, and the ability to translate business goals into impactful content experiences.


Key Responsibilities


1. Content Strategy & Vision

  1. Define and own the organisation’s content strategy across long-term and short-term horizons.
  2. Create a comprehensive content roadmap and blueprint covering themes, formats, channels, timelines, and stakeholder needs.
  3. Align content strategy with business goals, brand positioning, marketing campaigns, and product priorities.
  4. Establish content pillars, editorial themes, and messaging frameworks based on audience research and industry insights.


2. Content Planning & Execution

  1. Develop, maintain, and oversee the editorial calendar ensuring timely delivery of content assets.
  2. Lead content creation across formats—articles, blogs, web copy, case studies, videos, emailers, social media, whitepapers, thought leadership, and more.
  3. Provide final go / no-go approval on key content pieces to ensure quality, consistency, and brand alignment.
  4. Ensure all content adheres to brand tone, voice, messaging, and compliance standards.
  5. Establish clear workflows, production processes, and editorial guidelines.


3. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  1. Build and manage a high-performing content team comprising writers, editors, strategists, designers, videographers, and external freelancers.
  2. Set performance goals, mentor team members, and create a culture of creativity, accountability, and innovation.
  3. Collaborate closely with Marketing, Engineering, Sales, UX, Customer Success, and external subject-matter experts to produce targeted, meaningful content.


4. Quality, Governance & Brand Integrity

  1. Maintain high editorial and production standards across all content.
  2. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, brand, and accessibility requirements.
  3. Manage content lifecycle including audits, refreshes, updates, and retirement of outdated content.
  4. Safeguard brand reputation through consistent messaging and high-quality storytelling.


5. Measurement, Reporting & Optimisation

  1. Define KPIs for content performance (engagement, traffic, conversions, SEO ranking, lead generation).
  2. Monitor content analytics and present insights to leadership with improvement recommendations.
  3. Continuously optimize content through experimentation, A/B testing, and performance-driven iterations.
  4. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging content formats, technology, and audience behaviours.


Qualifications & Requirements


Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (CS or similar),Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.

A master's degree or MBA is an added advantage.

Experience

  1. 8–12+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial leadership, or content marketing roles.
  2. Proven experience managing content teams and leading multi-channel content programs.
  3. Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, content analytics, and brand storytelling.
  4. Experience in a fast-growing tech, SaaS, B2B, or services-driven organisation preferred.

  1. Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  2. Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
  3. Ability to think strategically, plan effectively, and execute flawlessly.
  4. Analytical mindset with experience in evaluating content performance metrics.
  5. Expertise in content tools (CMS, social scheduling, analytics tools, collaboration platforms).
  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
