We are now looking for an entrepreneurial leader to spearhead this new division and establish Saman as a key player in the global coffee trade.

*Position Overview*

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and well-connected professional to join us as the Head of our new Coffee Division. This is a foundational leadership role for an individual with a passion for coffee and a proven track record in international sales. The primary responsibility will be to leverage your industry expertise and client network to build our coffee export business from the ground up. You will be responsible for the entire sales lifecycle, from generating leads to executing orders, and will be the driving force behind the division's growth and profitability.

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Business Development & Sales: Spearhead all sales and marketing activities for the coffee export division. Leverage your existing list of international clients to generate immediate business and build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all coffee clients. Foster strong, long-term relationships by understanding their needs, providing excellent service, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process, including identifying potential customers, sending samples, negotiating prices and contracts, and closing deals.
  • Pricing & Costing: Utilize your in-depth industry knowledge to analyze procurement prices, logistics costs, and market trends to develop competitive and profitable price quotes for international buyers.
  • Inter-departmental Coordination: Work seamlessly with our internal teams, including procurement, logistics, finance, and quality assurance, to ensure the smooth and timely execution of all export orders once a sale is confirmed.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on global coffee market trends, competitor activities, and international quality standards to identify new opportunities and position Saman Tea effectively.
  • Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute the business strategy for the coffee division, setting ambitious sales targets and defining the path to achieve them.

*Required Qualifications & Skills*

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is mandatory.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrable experience in the coffee trading/export industry, with a strong focus on sales and business development.
  • Client Network: A proven and verifiable portfolio of active international clients (importers, roasters, traders) in the coffee sector is essential for this role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of different coffee varieties, sourcing locations in India, quality parameters, procurement pricing, and the intricacies of export costing.
  • Communication: Excellent command of written and spoken English is required.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the business vertical.
  • Excellent coordination and project management abilities.
