Job Title: Head ChefJob Summary

The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, menu planning, cost control, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards. The role involves leading the kitchen team, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and update menus as per business requirements
• Supervise food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency
• Manage kitchen staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
• Control food cost, wastage, and inventory
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (FSSAI/HACCP)
• Monitor portion control and standard recipes
• Coordinate with procurement and management for supplies and budgeting
• Handle customer feedback and resolve food-related issues
• Ensure equipment maintenance and kitchen cleanliness
• Maintain daily production records and reports

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
• Strong knowledge of Indian & Continental cuisines (customizable)
• Leadership and team management skills
• Cost control and inventory management expertise
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and organizational skills

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management preferred
• Minimum 5–10 years of kitchen experience, with leadership exposure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
