Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our multi-cuisine kitchen. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, managing kitchen staff, maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards, and contributing to menu development to provide an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations across multiple cuisines including Indian, Continental, Chinese, and others.
  • Plan and design menus in collaboration with management to ensure variety, quality, and profitability.
  • Ensure that all food preparation and presentation meets restaurant standards and guests’ expectations.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff including Sous Chefs, Chefs de Partie, Commis, and other kitchen workers.
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to maintain budget.
  • Enforce strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with FSSAI and HACCP guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment and kitchen facilities in good working order.
  • Manage kitchen scheduling and labor to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Address and resolve any kitchen-related issues, including quality concerns and staff conflicts.
  • Stay updated with culinary trends and innovate recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of professional culinary experience in multi-cuisine kitchens, with at least 3 years in a leadership role as Head Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian, Continental, Chinese, and other cuisine preparation and presentation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen budgeting.
  • Proficient knowledge of FSSAI, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about food quality and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management.
  • Experience in multi-cuisine, fine dining, or large-scale restaurant operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Flexibility to manage peak hours and special events.
