Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President (VP) to lead our Airport Systems & Services division, specifically focusing on the Airport Operations Control (APOC) and IT applications department. The APOC & IT applications plays a critical role in ensuring seamless operations within the airport, aimed at providing a positive passenger experience while maintaining efficient and effective resource allocation and decision-making processes.

- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and vision for the APOC & IT applications, aligning it with the overall goals and objectives of the organization. Team Management: Lead and manage a diverse team of airport IT operations professionals, including passenger flow managers, security flow managers, aircraft flow managers, and other key roles within the APOC & IT applications. Operational Efficiency: Oversee the operational efficiency of the APOC & IT applications, ensuring that airport resources are optimally allocated to minimize delays and disruptions while enhancing passenger satisfaction. Collaboration: Foster strong collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, including airlines, security agencies, airport personnel, and regulatory bodies, to ensure effective coordination of APOC operations. Decision-Making: Guide the APOC & IT applications team in making real-time decisions to manage passenger flows, security queues, and aircraft movements, with a focus on meeting service level agreements and regulatory standards. Data Utilization: Leverage integrated plans, predictive models, CCTV, and other relevant data sources to make informed decisions and implement proactive measures that enhance operational performance. Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources, such as security lanes, personnel, and aircraft stands, to accommodate fluctuating demand and unexpected scenarios. Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the APOC & IT applications, implementing best practices, technologies, and innovative solutions to enhance operational resilience and efficiency. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and disruptions within the airport operations and develop strategies to mitigate their impact on passenger experience and overall operations. Performance Monitoring: Establish performance metrics and KPIs for the APOC & IT applications , regularly monitoring and reporting on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement. Leadership Development: Develop and mentor APOC & IT applications team members, fostering their growth, enhancing their skills, and promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS
- Determine financial needs of the work unit and submit annual budget proposal, as directed, that is consistent with IT's strategic direction, division needs, and stakeholder expectations.
- Develops and controls the annual operating expenditure (opex) and capital expenditure (capex) budgets to ensure that it's consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT applications and is within plan.
- Leverages influencing and negotiation skills across IT applications to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in the achievement of business goals.
- Manage department operations within established budget resources to provide the best products and services to our customers.
- Directs the development of sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.
- Manage the performance of business operations including setting goals, establishing metrics, and continually working toward process improvement and cost avoidance.
- Monitor financial position regularly to address financial deficit/surplus situations in a timely manner.
Oversee the purchasing process ensuring that contracts are legitimate and needed, have sufficient funding available, and are done in a timely manner.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field, Master's degree preferred.
Relevant Experience
- should be 15 to 20 years of experience, Extensive experience (at least 10 years) in airport operations, with a strong background in managing complex operational environments, including passenger flows, security processes, and aircraft movements.
- Proven leadership experience in a senior management role, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, trends, and forecasts to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of airport regulations, security protocols, and aviation industry standards.
- Experience in implementing technology solutions for operational efficiency is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and make critical decisions in real-time.
