Position Purpose:

A Workday Product Expert / Sr. Product Expert focuses on Workday configuration experience in supporting and developing Workday solutions, ideally with in-depth knowledge of HCM area and business process design, cross functional impact analysis in Workday. They will be familiar with Agile ways of working and managing a backlog of items in their specialist area. Knowledge & Experience of multiple modules will be an asset.

The person will report to the Workday HCM Product Owner and will provide a variety of Workday support including troubleshooting and resolving BAU issues, as well as building and testing enhancements.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with P&O stakeholders to analyze business processes, define functional specifications, and manage implementation timelines. Coordinate with internal and external teams to deliver integrations and interfaces.
  • Support development, testing, and implementation of change requests (CRs).
  • Lead bi-annual Workday releases, including regression testing, feature review, and sign-off. Partner with the L3 Technical team on project specifications, timelines, and testing activities.
  • Report risks and priorities to management and support project planning. Ensure compliance with documentation, change management, and audit standards.
  • Document and communicate issues effectively. Manage HCM functional changes and enhancements. Create knowledge articles, training materials, and provide stakeholder training.
  • Optimize Workday usage and drive platform adoption. Mentor team members to build Workday domain expertise.
  • Enhance user experience with Workday processes. Gather feedback from P&O teams to address Workday-related concerns.
  • Benchmark Workday usage with peer organizations to maximize ROI. Oversee AMS provider performance to ensure timely and effective support.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • Education & Certification : Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Business, or related field; Workday certification in at least one core module is mandatory.
  • Workday Expertise : Proven experience in Workday business process design, with preferred skills in reporting, dashboards, and exposure to implementations and integrations.
  • Data Governance : Strong knowledge of data privacy, risk mitigation, segregation of duties (SoD), and privileged access management.
  • Communication & Collaboration : Excellent communication, presentation, and change management skills; proactive and collaborative problem-solver.
  • Professional Attributes : Strong prioritization, time management, and interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity and focus on employee experience.
